At this time of year it is not unusual for schools across the region to see an increase in winter illnesses such as diarrhoea/vomiting and flu-like illness.
Please take a moment to read the following information and guidance for parents and carers regarding winter illness, issued by the Yorkshire & Humber Health Protection Team of Public Health England*. We would ask parents and carers to pay particular attention to the requirement that children who are affected by diarrhoea and vomiting should stay off school until at least 48 hours after they last had diarrhoea or vomiting.
