Fishergate pupils are very fortunate in having access to such a range of extra-curricular activities; we are proud of the way their skills develop through these additional opportunities.  We pride ourselves on being an inclusive school and would not want any child to miss out on a club because of financial difficulty. If you qualify for free school meals, we may be able to help you with payment for clubs – please pop in and see Mrs Clarke.

After School and Lunchtime Clubs

Class teachers manage the allocation of club places internally and keep a register of all school-run clubs so that everyone gets a fair turn. If a club runs after school, your child will bring a letter home with information of start and finish times.

Application forms for Total Sports clubs are sent out separately.

Some clubs in school are by invitation only, for example our Giggles club for Young Carers.

At the end of a club the adult leading the club will accompany children, usually to the Y3/4 doors, for collection by parents/carers.  Please also remember that clubs occasionally have to be cancelled at short notice. When this happens, you will need to collect at 3.15, as normal.

Instrument Lessons

There are lots of opportunities for children to take part in Music at Fishergate. Children can learn a musical instrument at Fishergate and we currently offer the opportunity for families to arrange lessons with visiting peripatetic tutors, teaching a range of instruments. External Providers of Independent Clubs

In addition, the building is used for lettings after school by a range of external providers. If you would like your child to join one of these external clubs, please contact the provider directly for further information about times, costs and availability.
