This week we are learning…

Literacy:

  • acting out the stories we wrote together

Maths:

  • small room ~‘sequencing familiar events e.g. days
  • big room ~ making  clocks and reading “o’clock”

Phonics:

  • small room ~ ‘ow’, ‘oi’, ‘ear’, ‘air’
  • big room ~ ‘ur’, ‘’ar, ‘or’, ‘oi’

Pancake Fun in the EYU

Early Years decided they wanted to make pancakes this week, so that’s just what we did.

We got the ingredients and then Mrs Ensor supported to make the pancakes. Other children decided to open up a playdoh shop to sell pancakes. Following the children’s interests resulted in highly engaged and fun learning!

Maths:

  • small room ~ practically doubling numbers within 10
  • big room ~ doubling and halving
