Early Years

Slight change to the lunchtime menu

The lunchtime staff had noticed a lot of waste when Battered Fish was on the menu so we have carried out a little survey in school over the last few weeks and decided to change the menu slightly. The change only affects Week one. on Friday the option will be MSC Salmon or White Fish fingers not MSC Battered fish.

Two more slight changes – we will be serving rice, not noodles, on Thursday of week one and Pasta Bolognese in place of Spaghetti Bolognese on Thursday of week three. Please see the menu below – click the image to download a larger .pdf version.

Wow! What a show!

Some of the teachers and children from KS1 an KS2, together with a few parents and carers, got a sneak preview of the Early Years show at their dress rehearsal this afternoon.  The children must have been working so hard – they really showed everyone their True Colours, and made their audience very Happy!  The parents of the EY children who will see the show tomorrow are in for a treat!

A five star performance!Isabel D (Fishergate Parent&Carer)

Mrs Fisher reminds parents that they should bring their tissues and that programmes will be available for a small (or large!) donation.

The Book Fair is coming!

The Book Fair will be on from Wednesday 14th November to Monday 19th November, from 3.15 to 3.45 in the Lower Hall. The Book Fair generates a lot of free books for each class, chosen by the children themselves, so it is well worth supporting. In order to keep the Fair from being too crowded, each phase has its own night:

  • Early Years – Wednesday 14th
  • Key Stage One – Thursday 15th
  • Year 3/4 – Friday 16th
  • Year 5/6 – Monday 19th

It will be great to see you there!
