Year 1&2

Public Health England letter about winter illness

At this time of year it is not unusual for schools across the region to see an increase in winter illnesses such as diarrhoea/vomiting and flu-like illness.

Please take a moment to read the following information and guidance for parents and carers regarding winter illness, issued by the Yorkshire & Humber Health Protection Team of Public Health England*. We would ask parents and carers to pay particular attention to the requirement that children who are affected by diarrhoea and vomiting should stay off school until at least 48 hours after they last had diarrhoea or vomiting.

Slight change to the lunchtime menu

The lunchtime staff had noticed a lot of waste when Battered Fish was on the menu so we have carried out a little survey in school over the last few weeks and decided to change the menu slightly. The change only affects Week one. on Friday the option will be MSC Salmon or White Fish fingers not MSC Battered fish.

Two more slight changes – we will be serving rice, not noodles, on Thursday of week one and Pasta Bolognese in place of Spaghetti Bolognese on Thursday of week three. Please see the menu below – click the image to download a larger .pdf version.
