Rescheduled KS1 Christmas Performances

Dear Parents/Carers,

Unfortunately, we have had to take the decision to postpone the KS1 Christmas Shows, which were due to take place on Tuesday 9th December at 9.30am and Wednesday 10th December at 1.30pm. Due to the huge amount of illness in KS1 this week, it has been impossible for children to practice the show in full and at this stage it’s unlikely that we’ll have all the children back to practice or to perform for next week.

The shows will now take place at exactly the same times the following week, which are Tuesday 16th December at 9.30am and Wednesday 17th December at 1.30pm.

All tickets which parents have previously received for the shows will now be valid for these dates instead.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and look forward to seeing you all on the 16th and 17th.

Warmest RegardsKS1 Team

“Break the Rules” day

Dear Fishergate children,

On Friday 23rd May, everyone is invited to join in the fun on Break the Rules Day. The money raised this year will go to City of Sanctuary, a charity which works to build a more welcoming UK for people rebuilding their lives here. Some of our own families are currently dealing with the challenges of seeking sanctuary and we want to support them if we can. Every rule you choose to break will cost you 50p!

The rules you are allowed to break are about appearance, not our school rules. It is still important to be kind and respectful to everyone in school!

For example:

  • Wear your own outfit
  • A crazy hair style
  • Choose your own footwear (they don’t have to match!)
  • Odd socks
  • Wear an accessory such as sunglasses or a hat
  • Squash in your water bottle
  • Nail varnish
  • Face paints or make up
  • Chocolate instead of crisps (no nuts though)
  • Write in any colour you like in lessons
  • Eat pudding first at lunchtime if you want
  • Bring a small toy (not a game or device)

Your class teacher will discuss with you any other rules they are happy for you to break for just this one day. It is up to you to decide with your families which rules you want to break and how much money you are going to pay to raise funds for
City of Sanctuary UK. Please use ParentPay to make your donation.

If you do not wish to take part, just come in normal uniform – you don’t have to!
