Bodhi has been getting into the festive spirit

Woof woof, hello everyone!

This week I had a pawsome time watching the EYU Christmas show rehearsal. I lay quietly (even though my tail wanted to wag!) and listened to all the singing and music.

The children sang beautifully and were amazing performing in front of the whole school, using the stage and microphones like real stars.

I was one very proud pup!Bodhi

FoF update after the Christmas Fair

Heartfelt thanks to our volunteers

To parents, teachers and staff who so generously gave their time to help with Donations Day and the Christmas Fair last week – thank you, thank you, thank you! We feel that the fair was a great success and it literally could not have happened without you. It was lovely seeing children looking happy, and we had such fun working alongside so many enthusiastic volunteers. Together, we raised over £1,300. Well done, everyone!

Thank you, Year 5/6s!

The Year 5/6 children hosted a fantastic games room at the fair and made a significant contribution by donating all money raised back to the school – an amazing figure of £229.30! Well done, and thank you to Ms Walton and others who helped to oversee the games room.

A special visit next week

To add to the festive fun, our own Santa and his brilliant Elf will be visiting each classroom on Mon 15th Dec to spread holiday cheer and give out a gift fromSanta’s bag. Friends of Fishergate

Bodhi went to another assembly!

Woof woof, friends — Bodhi here!

Guess what I got up to this week? I trotted into the Salvation Army assembly and wowza, my tail nearly wagged off! There were mountains of toys that Fishergate families had donated. Honestly, it looked like Santa’s sleigh had exploded (in a good way). You humans are SO generous — those toys will make lots of children super happy.

Huge woofs of thanks to two of the lovely pupils for sitting with me. They were top-quality humans: excellent at stroking, very good at keeping me company, and 10/10 for helping me stay calm even when I wanted to sniff everything.Bodhi

Rescheduled KS1 Christmas Performances

Dear Parents/Carers,

Unfortunately, we have had to take the decision to postpone the KS1 Christmas Shows, which were due to take place on Tuesday 9th December at 9.30am and Wednesday 10th December at 1.30pm. Due to the huge amount of illness in KS1 this week, it has been impossible for children to practice the show in full and at this stage it’s unlikely that we’ll have all the children back to practice or to perform for next week.

The shows will now take place at exactly the same times the following week, which are Tuesday 16th December at 9.30am and Wednesday 17th December at 1.30pm.

All tickets which parents have previously received for the shows will now be valid for these dates instead.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and look forward to seeing you all on the 16th and 17th.

Warmest RegardsKS1 Team
