This term our topic has been ‘Recycling’. We became fashion designers and up-cycled our old clothes and used recycled items to create new fashion designs.

Tickets Please!
We had a lovely time using our money skills to pay for train tickets to various places in York! We chose the correct coins to pay for our tickets and if we had too much money, the ticket master would give us the correct change!

Magical Maths
In Maths we are excited about numbers. We are learning addition and subtraction strategies, doubling and halving, number bonds and next week we will begin looking at positional language.

WW1 Topic
In Key Stage 1 we are learning about WW1. We have enjoyed an exciting trip to the Castle Museum and have been on a historical adventure around our school.
If you have any WW1 family stories or objects you would like to bring into school – we would love to have a look at them.

Year 1/2 Waitrose Trip
All Year 1/2 classes will be visiting Waitrose on Tuesday 3rd June. Each class will spend half a day looking at how fruit and veg is produced and sold.
