The Wizard of Oz

Picture of Dorothy's red shoes from the play.At the end of the Spring Term Year 3 and 4 put on a magical performance of the Wizard of Oz. The children worked hard learning lots of lines and moves for some tricky dances! Songs included ‘Home on the Range’, ’Stand by Me’ and ‘Over the Rainbow’ from the classic film. The show was a roaring success and the whole cast had a great time performing!  You can see lots of photos from the show in our gallery.

Ice Cream Challenge March 2015

As part of science week, the Stem Challenge Team from Fulford School, were invited and set KS1 the challenge of making ice-cream! The children used ice, salt, cream and some strange ingredients to make savoury ice-cream! Then the teachers had to sample the finished product!

As you can see from the photos, this was not a pleasant experience!

Food For Life Ceremony March 2015

Money and Maths in KS1

In Maths we have been working on our money skills. We have been making different amounts of money with coins and using our knowledge of addition and subtraction to buy and sell items in the classroom.
