My favourite thing is watching the children zoom around while I supervise calmly like a very important dog… although I do like catching the balls they throw for me! Have you seen the amazing Bodhi Day display? It’s all me—every single picture! I look very handsome from every angle (as expected). I love walking past and spotting myself again…and again…and again. It makes me feel like a very important pup. Best display ever. A big tailwagging well done to all the incredibly talented artists for creating such brilliant drawings. The colours look amazing.

A special woof-out to Mrs Engleman for being such a skilled teacher and helping everyone create such pawsome work. I think you all deserve extra treats!Bodhi

This week I got to listen to my first person reading in school — it was amazing! I was really impressed by how confident they were and how they could read all of the words so smoothly. I think I got a bit carried away with excitement… I might have left a little bit of slobber on the book (sorry about that!). But I just couldn’t help myself — it was such a good story!

I think I might be a bit better at finding tennis balls than I am at being still and listening to a story… but I will practise!Bodhi

I had a very relaxing holiday and got to play with two of my best doggie friends – we had so much fun running around, chasing each other and having lots of sniffs and tail wags! I even had time for some cosy naps after all that playing.

I’m really glad to be back at school and have started learning how to roll a dice. I’ve been using my nose and giving it a little nudge – I think I’m getting the hang of it! When I do, I will be able to play some different games with the children.

Before I go, I just want to say – look at how talented Safa and Nyah are. I love their beautiful illustrations of me!

I feel very important today – can you believe that all of the children in school are drawing me? I’ve had lots of smiles and cuddles while wearing my bandana, and I’m very proud to show it off.

The children will be doing lots of fun activities all about me (I do love being the centre of attention) with plenty of chances to be creative and have fun.

I can’t wait for Mrs Engleman to teach everyone how to use pastels to draw pictures of me. I’m very curious to see all your amazing, colourful artwork – will you draw my nice wet nose? My floppy ears? I love the portrait that Mrs Engleman has done as an example.

I’ve also heard a very pawsome idea from the School Council! They would love everyone who wants to bring in donations for the RSPCA, to help other animals who need care, cuddles and kindness – just like me.

It’s going to be such a fun and special day. I’ll be ready with my biggest woofs, waggiest tail and lots of excitement! Love,Bodhi

D always thinks about other people and makes sure everyone feels included. She is a really good friend and she is always helping others if they need it. I see her doing kind things a lot, like checking if people are okay and making sure nobody is left out. If kindness had a smell, I think D would sniff it out straight away!

I think she is the perfect person to get the first kindness award because she shows what being kind looks like every day. If I had a basket of treats, I would definitely give her one. Well done, D! Bodhi

I have been very excited this week because I have been watching all of the preparations for OPAL happening around school. There are lots of interesting things to sniff and look at, and it all looks very exciting. I can’t wait for it to start! I think all of the children have been brilliant at waiting patiently. Waiting is a very special skill (even for a dog!) and it can be quite tricky sometimes. I have been practising waiting too — especially when I have to wait for Tina — and I have discovered that it is not always easy. Sometimes I have to sit very nicely and try not to wiggle too much!

The children have really impressed me with how patient they have been while everything gets ready. You have all shown great selfcontrol — I think you deserve a big wag of approval! 🐕

This week something really special made my tail wag even faster! When we went out onto the playground, I was absolutely amazed to see that someone had written my name in chalk right there on the ground — what a lovely surprise! I couldn’t help but give a big happy bark and spend a bit of extra time sniffing it.

I’m also so happy to be back at school after half term — I’ve loved seeing all my friends again, having cuddles, seeing you all on the playground and wishing very hard to be let onto the field! I’ve had lots of fun going on walks, and giving lots of tail wags to everyone I see.

Being back with my school family makes me feel super excited every single day! 🐾✨

This week I met Kat properly — she’s the one who looks after our website (including my very own section, which has been there for a while now… as it should be!).

I was a little unsure at first and managed two big barks — new people can make me a bit nervous — but I settled down very quickly once I realised she was kind. After that, I was more than happy to enjoy a lovely cuddle. Here’s a photo of us together — I think I look very professional.

And some exciting news… from next half term I’ll be awarding my very own Bodhi Kindness Certificates to children who show real kindness, care and thoughtfulness towards others. I’ll be keeping a close eye out 👀🐾
