Pupils in Key Stage 2 have been enjoying the opportunity to enhance their cricketing skills alongside a specialist cricket coach. Rachel Hildreth, development officer for Yorkshire CCC has been working with both Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 classes during the Summer Term to enhance their batting, bowling and fielding skills.

Children have been learning about cricket within their PE lessons throughout the Summer Term, and on Thursday 4th June Fishergate will be entering both a Year 3/4 and a Year 5/6 team into the sports partnership festival, which is taking place at Dunnington CC from 10am to 4.30pm.

Mr Kelly has also been running an after-school cricket club since April, which still has places available. Any children wishing to join the club can contact the office, or speak to Mr Kelly.
