The school’s pastoral care has been spot on and the learning environment is one all the kids thrive on. The atmosphere in the school is a very happy one and the school deserves to be very proud of what it has created.
What is parent partnership? It is Fishergate School and you, our parents and carers, working together to make things better for your child.
We can help in many ways beyond supporting your child in their academic progress. We feel passionate about the development of the whole child and we are trained to support them in their physical, emotional and social development too.
We recognise that an unhappy child cannot learn effectively; their well-being comes first.
There are times when families find life difficult for many reasons and we are here to help parents and carers too. We have helped families with issues around housing, mental health and financial difficulties for example.
And if we don’t have the answer, we will contact someone who does on your behalf.
Please feel able to approach us if you wish to discuss a concern confidentially – we are here to help.
The teachers know not just every child’s name but every parent too, that just doesn’t happen in every school.
Dani Rees is the deputy headteacher and is out of class on Thursdays and Fridays. She will usually be at the parents’ coffee morning on Thursdays.
Lisa Solanki is the SENDco and works Monday to Wednesday.
Tina Clarke, the headteacher is of course also available to support you.
