Safeguarding

Meet the Safeguarding Team

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment.Fishergate School Safeguarding Policy

Our Safeguarding team is Tina Clarke, Dani Rees, Lisa Solanki and Jackie Hudson.  If you have any concerns about a child or adult at Fishergate School please contact a member of the Safeguarding team immediately.

At Fishergate Primary School, we recognise that:

  • The welfare of the child is paramount
  • All children, regardless of age, disability, gender, racial heritage, religious belief, sexual orientation or identity, have the right to equal protection from all types of harm or abuse
  • Working in partnership with children, young people and their parents, carers and other agencies, is essential in promoting young people’s welfare

We work under the guidance of the Department for Education. For further information please see Keeping Children Safe In Education (Statutory Guidance for Schools and Colleges from the DfE) and the School Policies page, where you will find our full Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy.
