RSPB Big Schools’ Birdwatch

On Thursday 16th February the School Council took part in the RSPB Big Schools’ Birdwatch. We went to the Cemetery on Cemetery Rd and counted the birds that we saw. We counted robins, blackbirds, wood pigeons, lots of magpies and even a tree creeper – yes this is a real bird!

The results have been sent off to the RSPB. They will use the data collected to find out how birds are doing in our area. Thank you to the School Council for being fantastic bird watchers! And thank you to Ann Cole, Becky Thomas and Neil Bartlett for volunteering to come with us- your help is very much appreciated.
